Can you believe that Christmas is now just days away?!!  I love seeing our home all decorated.
Growing up, my family was never very big on decorating the table for any holiday.  Sometime after my mom became a Grandma, she did buy a set of Christmas dishes and would set the table with them every year.  She had matching everything from plates to serving dishes, glasses, mugs……she had it all.  I don’t ever remember decorating a table beyond the matching dishes. We usually kept it pretty casual (eatin’ pants are always welcome 🙂 )

Now that I know how much work goes into hosting a holiday meal, I understand why decorating the table isn’t a high priority. I’m no Martha Stewart, but I have learned a pretty table doesn’t have to add stress and expense to your entertaining.  I’m so excited to be partnering with Coca-Cola again and can’t wait to share my simple Glitter Painted Holiday Centerpiece I made using recycled Coca Cola bottles!

I wanted to start my tablescape with something very quick and very affordable, that’s where the empty Coke bottles came in.  I set up a paint station in the garage with my bottles and some cardboard and sprayed 10 bottles in gold and silver glitter spray paint.

I do have one tip, Coca-Cola bottles took a LOT of spray paint, to cover the label.  I would recommend getting a primer to spray them with before the glitter paint. I did buy a glitter paint sealant, so the glitter didn’t get all over the place once they were painted.

I let the bottles dry for a day or so and then had fun styling the table.

I started with a round white tray from my bedroom, added some of the glitter painted bottles, a few candles, floral picks, and artificial snow.  To add just a little more bling, I hung a snowflake ornament from one of the bottles and placed a pretty antique looking silver ornament to the tray.

I rummaged thru my Christmas decor and filled the rest of the Glitter Painted Holiday Centerpiece with a Christmas garland, a small tree and a lantern and I was done!!  I love how it turned out!

To keep my budget low, I used my gold (plastic) chargers I picked up at Target last year, and the red dinner plate and silver dessert plates are actually paper plates I got when I visited our brand new Ikea in St. Louis!!  Turning my color scheme into silver, gold, and red.

I bought these little monogrammed stockings at Kohls the other day, I think they were $5 each, but of course, I had a coupon.  I knew they would look adorable on the table with my gold flatware.

I love the dimension of the centerpiece with both the gold and silver glitter painted bottles mixed with the white candles and a variety of florals, with little pops of red.

Nearly everything on this table was repurposed from around the house, making it a very inexpensive, but still festive way to dress up the table for the holidays with minimal effort.

Of course, another fun element to the table were the ice cold Christmas Holiday Share a Coke Bottles.
