A few weeks ago I mentioned a little trip I was taking with Bush’s Beans, to Paws Up Resort in Montana.  We had a Bean Inspired Culinary experience.  While in Montana, we cooked several recipes together as part of an amazing team of bloggers, chefs, PR friends and of course….Bush’s Beans.  I plan to share those recipe with you over the next few month, but today I like to share my new favorite bean soup recipe!

This was our third trip together as a team bean and I think we all agreed probably the best.  Not only because of the location, but the fact that we are all so comfortable together, like family………..family that you WANT to spend time with.

I think as moms and bloggers, we all felt a little stressed up arrival, but the moment we stepped foot out of the van in Montana it was like a fresh breath of peace and tranquility.  The view at Paws Up was breath taking.  We shared lodges together, built fires, rode horses, cooked in kitchens, cooked outdoors, laughed, dined, shared and learned together.

Warmer connections happen when you’re comfortable just being you. When you don’t have to put on a facade, pretend you are something you are not, when you can ask silly questions, you can make mistakes in the kitchen and no one laughs or judges you, and when you learn to love.

I put together a video to capture some of our time together at Paws Up Resort.  I have to say, if you ever want a getaway that’s filled with peace and quiet in the great outdoors, but don’t want to miss any luxuries………this is your place!  I would love to go back for a little glamping.

Today we celebrate SOUP!!

The act of combining various ingredients in a large pot to create a nutritious, filling,  simple to make/serve food is probably as old as the history of cooking!

Soup and stews have evolved according to local ingredients and tastes.  So today, we are celebrating those ingredients and traditions with our favorite recipes!!

Kristen of Dine and Dish and I along with our sponsors would like to invite YOU to share your favorite soup, stew or chili recipes!!

In the past I’ve shared several of my family’s favorite soups and chili recipes, many made with Bush’s Beans all pair perfectly with with Westminster Crackers or served along side a slice of Pillsbury Simply Rustic French Bread.  Today I’m sharing a recipe given to me by a friend (aren’t those usually the best?!)  I fried some flour tortillas and it was the perfect meal for the extremely cold and snowy winter we’ve been having in St. Louis!

I’m Lovin’ It- Bear Creek Soup

Nothing beats a bowl of hot soup on a COLD day!

My name is Cheryl……….and I love Bear Creek Country Kitchen Soup!

Have you seen this in your favorite grocery store?  They’re sold in the soup aisle. I’ve been buying them for years!

Just add water and in 15 minutes you can have the taste of home made soup without salving in the kitchen all day! One package makes 1/2 gallon of soup, that’s 8 one cup servings!!

Our favorite is the Potato Soup.  When it’s simmering on the stove,  the smell coming from my kitchen is phenomenal.  I like to add a little chicken and garlic to ours, and top with a little cheese when serving.

I don’t know how a powdered soup mix can taste so delicious, but it does!  For under $5 I can feed our family of four with plenty of left overs for lunch a time or two.  You can’t beat that!!!

So If you’re in the mood for the taste of quality, home-made soup, but you don’t have the time to start from scratch, soup mixes from Bear Creek Country Kitchens are the answer, they have several other varieties.
