Three years ago, Weight Watchers launched the Lose For Good campaign, to fight world hunger by increasing awareness of the issue and helping provide access to healthy food for those in need.
Through Oct. 23, as Weight Watchers members and online subscribers lose weight and participate in other activities, the company will donate up to $1 million to two leading hunger-fighting organizations — Share Our Strength and Action Against Hunger.
Last night I joined a local Weight Watchers meeting at
First Baptist Church of Gray Summit
2705 Hwy 100, Gray Summit, MO
meets at 5:30 PM on Thursday night with a 5:00 weigh in time
The group was fantastic and so full of energy! I enjoyed watching how they all supported one another. I plan to start joining them every week, and I participated in the canned food drive by bringing in can goods in the name of the 20 pounds I plan to lose.
This amazing group of women lost a total of 184 pounds over the course of the seven week Lose For Good Campaign. Amazing!! I was so motivated to add Weight Watchers to my current commitment to a better ME!
Check out the wall of success from the food collected at the Gray Summit, MO meeting.
Weight Watchers is holding canned drives all over the country on or around October 23rd, 2010. Connect with one near you, or if you can’t find one, register and hold your own! When you lose, others gain!
This is a sponsored campaign and I was given a Weight Watchers membership and other goodies to assist in my participation.. I was in no other way compensated to publish this post. These are my real opinions.
