I’m a Weight Watchers Insider!

I’m SOOOO excited to share some news with you guys!!  You may have heard that Weight Watchers recently released their New PointsPlus Program!

To help get the word out about the new program I have been invite  to become part a group of prominent bloggers to be in an exclusive Insiders group.

I’m a Weight Watchers Ambassador!!!

PointsPlus™ nudges people to make healthier choices rather than simply focus on calorie counting.  The new formula takes into account the components that make up calories – protein, carbohydrates, fat and fiber – and factors the conversion cost of each within the body as well as eating satisfaction. Additionally, most fruits and vegetables count as zero points on PointsPlus™!

I’m so totally excited about this!! I have successfully used Weight Watchers in the past.  It’s been years and I’ve put a few pounds back on….. I’m carrying the “blogger’s butt”  and I’d like to lose it! haha

I can’t wait to share my journey and all of the amazing tools, tips, info Weight Watchers has to offer and maybe even a few giveaways! One thing I’m most excited aoubt is the iPad app,  just launched last Friday, called the Weight Watchers Kitchen Companion!  I am SOOOOO excited to use it!

The app that gives you ideas for what to cook and how to cook it. It’s the ultimate interactive healthy cooking tool — the app will take you through the cooking process, from planning the menu, to shopping for ingredients, to making the dish.

A unique feature of this app is recipe building functionality.  Weight Watchers Kitchen Companion shows users how to make recipes healthier in real time, by providing articles and information about key ingredients and foods, common cooking techniques and more. For example, if you enter in “mom’s chicken soup” you might see that the PointsPlus value is high. With this app you can alter the recipe in real time (swop out cheese for low fat cheese, etc.) to get your desired points value. Is that cool or what?!

So hang tight everyone………as soon as I get it all set up, I’ll be sharing lots more!

The app can be downloaded for FREE – used by both Weight Watchers members and nonmembers.

iPad features are :

Everyone who downloads the app will be able to:

  • Get the latest 10 featured recipes
  • Save up to 10 favorite recipes
  • Create custom shopping lists
  • Set cooking timers in recipes
  • Watch cooking technique videos
  • Share recipes with email or Facebook
  • Browse through recipes in book view
  • Get step-by-step instructions in cooking view

Subscribers to Weight Watchers Online & eTools have access to all features and can also:

  • Find thousands of Weight Watchers recipes
  • Access complete shopping, ingredient and equipment guides
  • Get cooking primers and technique videos
  • View exclusive recipe collections hand-picked by our editors
  • Use the WeightWatchers.com Recipe Builder to create and edit recipes

Congrats! Very exciting. I’ve been quite successful with WW as well but have fallen a bit off the wagon this month because of all my Christmas baking and parties. December is killer for a baking blogger like myself. Too many yummy treats!

I am currently losing with Weight Watchers. I have five children and after the third was born, I was the heaviest ever. That’s when I began WW. Lost 59 pounds. Did it again after the 4th baby and now I’m doing it again. It works. it is worth it!

I joined WW last week and am having a really hard time figuring out ‘the plan’. Is it too simple that I am just not getting it, who knows! I am excited, however, that you are an insider. I’ve been following you for well over a year now and like your style (wink) hopefully, I’ll better understand ‘the plan” by watching you.

    Thanks!

Love WW! I used it years to get rid of my “college” weight and it really changed my habits for the long term. Glad to see they are always looking to update their programs on the latest science! Looking foward to hearing more about it from you!

I have been on WW since June and have been losing, although this month has been a challenge. I look forward to your posts and am really excited to see more people involved in the WW program! Now I want an IPAD just for the program now.

I lost 32 pounds on WW a few years ago, but have gained some back. I went to a meeting a few weeks ago to try it again and was kind of disappointed with the new Points Plus. I don’t like how you can’t figure out the points without their calculator. Also, You have to pay a lot to be able to use their online tools.

I don’t have an iPad, but would love to use the Kitchen Companion. They really should make that available in other formats.

Anyway, have fun with it and good luck! I seriously want to lose those pounds I gained back!

I think I’ll give it a try with you and your readers. I do have a trainer but I’m not as successful without the food control and I have definitely over indulged over the holiday. ‘Bloggers butt’. Ha! Love it – the name not the condition!! :)

I’m very excited that you are partnering with Weight Watchers as an Ambassador. I was very successful last year and lost 51 pounds but am having great difficulty getting restarted with the new plan and New Year. I am looking forward to reading about your weight loss efforts and know that you will be a good help to me on my weight loss journey. I have been following your blog for about 6 months now and enjoy your recipes and writing style. Thank you for all you do!
