We had a pretty uneventful weekend here at our house. But I think that will be the last one for a while.
Today Miss Allison has basketball tryouts for 7th grade. This will be her first year with REAL tryouts AND with out having her Dad as her coach. 7th grade is the first year our school district has a school sponsored girls basketball team. Prior to that it’s been a traveling team that uses the school name, but honestly, that’s about all the school is involved in it. I know she left the house a little nervous this morning, although her Dad says she has nothing to worry about – but she’s still nervous! If she makes the team, they will have practice EVERY day after school. So that should be a real challenge getting her school work done, shower and dinner every evening after practice.—–I’ll keep you posted on tryout results!- Keep your fingers crossed!
I forgot to mention, when I picked Allison up on her first day of school last week she had this BIG GRIN on her face!

Me: “Ummmm, WHAT?”
Allison: “You have to write a paper about me! In a Million Words or Less!
and it’s due Monday!
Me: rolling my eye’s “Oh GREAT!”…….
Yesterday I helped a new blog buddie purdy up her wonderful blog! If you get a chance, take a look at Pam’s blog, Grits Greens and Cornbread. Yesterday was her birthday, so it was my present to her!! It sure looks cute in all the orange and yellow, but now that she knows how it’s done, she may be changing it up all the time! LOL Happy Birthday Pam!!
Well, last week I mentioned I was making another family favorite for dinner. Three Cheese Baked Mostaccioli. This recipe was always a specialty of my sister-in-law
Bobbie, I’m so fortunate to have gotten her recipe years ago. We lost our beloved Bobbie to breast cancer over 7 years ago – gosh, I can’t believe it’s been that long – but we think of Aunt Bobbie EVERY time we eat her WONDERFUL Mostacciloi.
So grab your apron and lets get started – it’s really very easy!!
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 pound salsitccia (if you can’t find this, you can use Italian sausage)
garlic to taste
45 oz Raghu Old World Style Spaghetti sauce
Italian seasoning to taste
1 box Mostaccioli Noodles
6 slices American Cheese
6 slices Mozzarella Cheese
3 slices Provolone Cheese

Looks like another yummy recipe. And let us know how Allison does… I have my fingers crossed for her!
Oh my goodness! Our mouth's are watering…..this will be a perfect meal for the first week of school – well, anytime for that matter!
Have a great week!
